It’s been a very long time since I’ve updated this but for the past 6 months I’ve been through a whirlwind of events and non-stop grinding… I just recently returned from subbing in for my friends Defeated Sanity while they were on the road supporting Origin and Archspire on the Bloodletting North America IX tour. It was a very special occasion, not just for me, because we were performing the 2nd half of their most recent album Dharmata in its entirety along with two tunes from their first album Prelude to the Tragedy. This showcased a much proggy-er side of Defeated and was probably the only time that this material and style will be played live so I’m eternally grateful to them for calling me to be a part of it!
A few months before that, Exist returned from it’s very first tour as a band supporting the legendary Gorguts! Gorguts has been one of my favorite bands for a while now and it was an amazing experience hanging with them and seeing them live everyday. We were supporting material from our newest album So True So Bound that was released on Prosthetic Records on June 6th. As you can see from the flyer Defeated Sanity was supposed to be on this tour as well but ran into visa issues and had to drop. It’s too bad because that would’ve been an amazing package and an even cooler hang.
There’s a lot coming together for Exist and myself in the near future so I’ll try to stay more updated on my comings and goings here!
